Eating the right amount of protein, fat, and fiber helps to stabilize blood sugar and boost fat burning throughout the day. Luckily, adding more of these nutrients to your diet doesn’t have to be a complicated process. Whether you’re looking for a quick, on-the-go breakfast, a healthy snack or even a dessert, this 6-ingredient protein ball recipe is a naturally sweet and savory blend of high-quality protein, good fats, and fiber that’ll keep you satiated for hours.

What You Need

  • 1/4 cup of almond butter
  • 1/2 cup of dark chocolate chips, finely chopped
  • 3/4 cup (about 6 even scoops) of Terra’s Kitchen Chocolate Protein Powder
  • 2 tablespoons of cocoa powder, plus more for rolling (optional)
  • 3 tablespoons of water
  • 1 tablespoon of ground flaxseed

How To Prepare

Add all the ingredients to the bowl of a food processor and pulse until the mixture just comes together. Next, line a large baking sheet with parchment paper. Once your baking sheet is prepared, take heaping tablespoons of the mixture and roll them into balls and then place them on the sheet. Let the balls sit for a few hours and then roll them in the extra cocoa powder if you wish. That’s it!

Courtesy of Terra’s Kitchen, this delicious recipe makes 16 protein balls each of which houses about 95 calories. While any chocolate protein powder will work, I recommend trying Terra’s Kitchen due to its unique composition of good fats, fiber, and health-promoting micronutrients. Also available in vanilla, Terra’s Kitchen Protein Powders can be used to make protein-rich bars and muffins or added to your favorite smoothie blend.
