I’m Dr. Nina, Health Coach, Educator and Speaker. For more than 20 years, I’ve dedicated both my personal and professional life to promoting healthy living, preventing chronic diseases, and helping others discover, unearth and construct their own unique paths to optimal health, wellness and longevity. Having personally struggled with anxiety and depression, food addiction, and my own health challenges in the past I certainly don’t take this responsibility lightly.
For me, it’s much more than a career. It’s a calling.
Drawing from applied research, personal and professional insights, and an extensive background in exercise science, fitness, wellness, nutrition and rehabilitation, I help people navigate through the mazes of gimmicks, fads and mainstream quackery, equipping them with the tools they need to live healthier, happier, longer and more productive lives. If you’re ready and willing to take action, let’s make it happen. Together we’ll uncover a path that’s uniquely yours.
As a translational scientist I have multidisciplinary training and expertise grounded in exercise science, fitness, wellness, nutrition and rehabilitation. I specialize in developing customized, integrative lifestyle-driven frameworks for chronic disease prevention and risk reduction.
I offer healthcare consulting services, advising primarily on the personalization of consumer-facing, patient-centered health services and digital solutions. Assuming the role of “translator”, I help clients transform complex health data into actionable insights and improved outcomes.
A firm believer in the empowering role of health education, I regularly share my unique insights with professionals, practitioners and students in continuing education settings. I also offer high-touch, hands-on education and training services for individuals, teams, groups, and workforces.
As a speaker, I’m regularly called on for keynotes, lectures, seminars, workshops and brown bag talks in a variety of settings. I cover a wide range of topics, from exercise and nutrition, weight loss and fitness training, to chronic disease prevention, self-care and workplace wellness.
When it comes to healthy living, I’m well-known for both walking the walk and talking the talk. I am not at all shy about voicing my opinions and perspectives on emerging trends in health, fitness and wellness, and I don’t hold back in addressing controversial health policy issues and practices.
My writing portfolio is diverse, including over two dozen scholarly manuscripts, a self-help book for weight loss, and nearly 900 mainstream articles across multiple media outlets. I also maintain a blog on which I regularly offer up practical advice, insights and perspectives on healthy living.
The information I offer in articles and blogs is solely for educational purposes and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease. If you’re concerned about your health, I highly recommend contacting a physician for medical advice.
