A Simple Solution for Making Wheatgrass Taste Better

For centuries, natural health advocates and enthusiasts have hailed wheatgrass for its proclaimed health benefits. With good reason to, as wheatgrass is a potent source of countless vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants, known to boost immunity and help ward off diseases. Personally, I’ve been a fan of wheatgrass for a long while. I even own a cold press juicer that’s specifically designed to extract juice from fresh wheatgrass and other leafy vegetables.

While I do encourage regular consumption of fresh wheatgrass juice for optimal health, I’ll be the first to admit that it’s definitely an acquired taste. Wheatgrass itself has a pungent, bitter flavor that a lot of people simply can’t stomach. In some cases, the taste of wheatgrass juice can be improved by blending it with other fresh juices that are relatively sweet like carrot, apple or orange juice. Eating a piece of sweet fruit after drinking wheatgrass may also help.

Supplements are another possible solution for reaping the benefits of wheatgrass. Powdered supplements, for instance, are generally produced from dehydrated wheatgrass juice and are generally similar in nutritional value. However, since pure powders tend to be a bit gritty in texture and often taste even more bitter than the juice of wheatgrass, some manufacturers use them to produce wheatgrass tablets.
