If you’re trying to eat healthy but having a difficult time finding the right foods to buy, a trip to the grocery store can be quite intimidating. For weight management and overall good health, it’s important to eat a wide variety of food sources rich in key macronutrients and micronutrients. Luckily, your local grocery store houses hundreds of foods that meet these criteria. You just have to know what to look for.

I’ve previously published a list of easy-to-find foods that should always be on your healthy grocery list. But, to make your shopping experience a little simpler, here’s a comprehensive, ready-to-print shopping list for all your grocery store needs courtesy of my friends at the Pritikin Longevity Center & Spa. Divided by food categories, this list outlines foods that are most advantageous in helping you reach your personal health and physical fitness goals.

Note: Although the majority of information in Pritikin’s infographic is extremely useful, if your goals are centered on losing weight, I’d recommend you NOT avoid some of the foods listed at the very end, namely avocado, nuts, nut butters and olive oil. Unbeknownst to many, a plethora of research shows that when consumed in moderate amounts, these foods can greatly support your weight loss efforts by maximizing fat burning and boosting metabolism.
