What You Need

  • 1 bottle of berry-flavored kefir
  • 1 cup of frozen black cherries
  • 1/4 cup plus 1 tablespoon of macadamia nut cream (see directions for preparation below)
  • 1/4 cup of unsweetened almond milk
  • 1 tablespoon of maca powder
  • 1 cup of ice
  • 1 tablespoon of chocolate chips
Macadamia Nut Cream for Smoothie
  • 1-1/2 cups of raw, unsalted macadamia nuts
  • 3/4 cup of water
  • A pinch of salt
  • 1 tablespoon of honey

How To Prepare

Completely cover the nuts with water in a bowl and soak them overnight. Drain the presoaked nuts and transfer them to a blender. Add 3/4 cup of water and the remaining ingredients. Blend the mixture on high for 3-5 minutes until it is very smooth (scraping down the sides as needed). Store the cream in the refrigerator and use it within a few days.

Chocolate Cherry Macademia Smoothie

Set aside one cherry, one tablespoon of macadamia nut cream, and the chocolate chips and then use a blender to thoroughly mix all the remaining ingredients into a smooth consistency. Transfer the mixture to a serving glass and top it off with the cream, chocolate chips, and a cherry.
